Gotta Draw Them All

One giant picture for you guys! These are my pokemon shoes. I made these a few years back but I only decided to take photos of these the other day when I re-discovered them in my wardrobe (and wore them for the first time!).

These took a few weeks to do just because it was quite fiddly and I did it in the evenings (and not to mention I practiced drawing each of the pokemon before I put it onto the shoe :I ). But it's rainbow coloured and has Pokemon on it, so it was worth it.

Amigurumi Time

First try at Amigurumi :B

Hoki the Dino

Bunny that my mum requested

Ok. I've recently got into something called amigurumi, so I thought I would take some photos of stuff I've done and stick it up on here.

It's just a hobby that I've picked up but I actually find it really relaxing and satisfying because it doesn't take long to complete and you feel really acomplished when you actually manage to finish it :)

Frankie Turn Around

My finished turn-around that I'm currently using to model 'Frankie' on Maya. She stilll looks very unfinished now, but I will post some pictures of the 3D model when I'm done later on (probably in the next couple of weeks). And after that I'll be rigging her :I Hooray!

Also, the back view of her always makes me laugh because the pockets look like angry eyes and it looks like she has an angry butt heh.

Character Concepts

Some of my sketches for a school brief in which we had to create a 14 year old female (named Frankie Smith) in a 'SteamPunk' style. And she's also a monowheel racer (if you're not sure what that is I suggest looking it up because monowheels are just about the coolest thing ever as I have now discovered). I just began with some rough ideas of female faces/ eyes/ noses and I tried to get some personality coming out through these sketches.

And some full body concepts of various 'Frankie Smith' girls. The girl in the top row (fourth along from left) is at a milk bar because I figured that after a hard monowheel race she would go and have a drink at the local bar. And I thought it  approriate to make it a milk bar, because even in steampunk world I'm sure the legal drinking age would be above 14 years...
So! This is what I have been doing over the past week at Freelance, designing characters so that we can model and then rig and finally animate them. I really love designing characters and doing concepts so I found this week to be a very good one!
