3D Models For 'Hunt'
Fox and Hound modelled by Isabelle Dela Torre, gun modelled by Cameron Hunt. All of the textures were done by me.
Just thought I would do a quick update on all the stuff that has been going on. The rigs on both characters have been completed (though there aren't many picture of the Fox rig at the moment, I'm sure I can get a few in the next week or so!).
I am going to continue on doing some matte paintings for the backgrounds and try to make the style really come together nicely with the characters and everything, so it should be a lot of fun!
Well, that's all for now! :)

'Hunt' Project Model Pack
This is the model pack that I created for our group project 'Hunt'. I submitted it yesterday and I was thoroughly excited when one of my tutors told me that I was really "raising the bar" with what I had done! And our other tutor told me that he really liked it and said that it was awesome, so I was over the moon!
I have tried to put as much effort into this as I can, and go above and beyond what is just in the brief specifications because I believe it's worth doing something to the best of your abilities! :)
The characters and gun have been modelled and rigged (by one of my awesome team mates- Isabelle Dela Torre) and I have completed the textures (some minor tweaks still are needed but they are about 98% done I would say).
Those should be popping up some time soon as well, so keep an eye out! :)
Thanks a lot for reading!
Paula :)

'Hunt' Project Concept Work
I got permisson to post a whole heap of things so I thought I would show the world a little bit of what I have been doing this term for our third year project.
We have created our own story, characters and everything! It is super exciting to be doing this project and it means I've been allowed to draw every day (which makes me an extremely happy person!) and let my creativity flow.
The team that I am in is really good and I think that we all work well together, our strengths are all slightly different so it makes for a very well balanced team! I'm beginning to feel incredibly excited, and I can't wait to see our final result. We still have five weeks to go on the project, but things are starting to come together very nicely and we are on track for completion!
So all in all, it has been an incredibly successful year so far. I'm loving the whole process and I can't wait to see what else is in store! :)

2013 And What A Great Start!
Just started my third year at Animation College NZ and this year is really looking exciting. It's a lot more work than the previous two years, but I really like that and I'm looking forward to the challenge!
I can't speak much about the work I am doing currently as this year most of the stuff we are working on is confidential (which is also pretty darn exciting!), but I will say that it is great fun and an awesome challenge which is allowing me to really push myself and be with others who are really going all out as well!
If I am given the green light (and after our current project is done) I may be able to post up some stuff that I've been doing which should be pretty neat! :)
Well, that is all for now! :)

Bears
I was looking back through an old sketchbook of mine and I stumbled across these. They're actually from 2009, but I still think that they pretty nice looking, especially since I was only 15 or so at the time. For me this is an indication that it was a good move to start spreading out and not just drawing pencil animals from photographs; or at least actually think about the anatomy beneath (which I wasn't really doing a few years back).
Because I found (and still find) drawing sketches from photos relatively easy, so I think also changing my main way of drawing to digital is good also as it offers some different challenges (and advantages) that aren't available through the standard traditional pen and paper.
Anyway, that's all for now!

Paula! :)

Final Trip!
Okay guys, I'm going away on a hiking trip but I'll be back on Sunday. :)
After this, there are no more trips planned so I want to focus on drawing more things and bumping up my digital painting skills and such!
Thanks for being patient and I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday! :)
Cya soon!

Summer Time and Chistmas Holiday Fun!
Hey Ya'll!
I'm back again!
It's been a fairly hectic year, but now I have finished the second year of my course and I am fully ready for the holidays and perhaps a nice tan in the Summer sun!
I have found it a bit tricky to update all three websites (DeviantART, Tumblr and here) on a weekly basis while I was so busy, but now I feel that I am able to continue with the regular schedule. :)
(Also, if you ever feel the need to check out my art on a more regular basis my Tumblr and DeviantART accounts are there for you guys to check out.)
Here are the things that I have been doing in the mean time:
Thanks for reading guys! Until next time :)
